TALK TITLE: THE CHANGING FACE OF SUPERCOMPUTING
For 45 years, supercomputing has been primarily concerned with large scale simulation. This talk will look at how some of these workloads are evolving and how researchers are combining techniques from data modeling with simulation to reach new insights.
Jeff Brooks is a Director of Supercomputing Product Management at Cray Inc. and has helped bring the Cray XT, Cray XE, and Cray XC supercomputing systems to market. Previous to this position, Jeff managed the benchmarking group at Cray, where he programmed and optimized early Cray vector and MPP supercomputers.
